LOUIS LATOUR CHABLIS 2024

Village Chablis from Maison Louis Latour of Beaune. Chablis is an isolated island of vineyards in the northern part of Burgundy, halfway between Dijon and Paris, and its Kimmeridgian limestone slopes show what Chardonnay can do: perfumed, lively, clean and steely, with a crisp finish.

Tasting notes (producer): A brilliant pale yellow with green highlights, Chablis 2024 reveals citrus and lime-blossom aromas on the nose. Round and fresh on the palate, with hints of lemon. Long on the palate, with a mineral finish.

Vines average 30 years old on Portlandian and Kimmeridgian limestone. Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats with full malolactic fermentation, then aged 8 to 10 months in stainless steel.

Food pairing (producer): Shellfish, seafood and charcuterie. Serve at 10–12°C. Drink within 2–3 years.
