Château Angélus 2013

Château Angélus is one of Saint-Émilion's most famous estates, run by the de Boüard family for eight generations. Its high proportion of Cabernet Franc gives a rich, opulent yet fresh wine of great ageing potential.

Tasting note (Wine Advocate): “On the other hand, the opaque purple-colored 2013 Angelus, a brilliant blend of equal parts Merlot and Cabernet Franc harvested between September 9 and October 3 (only 60% of the production was utilized), possesses good acidity as well as pure blueberry, mulberry and black currant fruit intermixed with notions of licorice, Christmas fruitcake, underbrush and forest floor.”
