Bass Phillip in South Gippsland is one of Australia's most famous Pinot Noir producers. The Estate Pinot Noir is pure, fine and age-worthy.

Tasting note (James Halliday): “While somewhat shy at first, this does open to express more savoury nuances, although dark cherries and fruit compote are in the mix, along with a green note of cardamom and a touch of stems/twigs. Fuller bodied, braced by brisk acidity, with lots of texture via pomace-like tannins.”
