“Kadhambam” is a Tamil word meaning “Combination” or “Mixture”. True to its name, Amrut Kadhambam is a novel Single Malt that combines in itself Rum, Sherry and Brandy notes.
Regular Single Malt is further matured for further periods in casks that we previously used to mature Rum (Ex-Amrut Rum Cask), Sherry and Brandy (Ex-Amrut Brandy Cask). Subsequently, they are married together on a specific, proprietary ratio, to achieve the right balance, in refill bourbon casks. In this process, the Malt successively gains the aroma and the notes of Rum, Sherry and Brandy. The result is a truly gratifying mix of notes. As a succession of subtle and complex notes unravel, Amrut Kadhambam is sure to exhilarate your nose and palate with a first-of-its-kind experience.

The word ‘Amrut’ derives its origin from the historic language of Sanskrit and means the ‘Elixir of Life’. Staying true to our corporate ethos, our beloved founder named our distillery – Amrut Distilleries.
Since its inception, every aspect of Amrut is handled with the utmost love and passion. The whisky is made using Barley grown and malted in two regions spread far apart.
While a major part of the Barley originates from the feet of the great Himalayas, the rest, especially the Peated Barley is sourced from Scotland.
This malted Barley is carefully mashed, distilled and then matured in select Oak barrels at our distillery in Bengaluru – the Garden City of India (3000 ft. above sea level | tropical climate) in small batches to preserve the natural aroma.
To retain the natural characteristics of this Oak-aged Indian Single Malt Whisky, we do not chill filter and bottle it in its natural colour; some haze may therefore be noticed. We hope that as a connoisseur of all good things in life, you will appreciate this product at your leisure.
