Yamazakura Black Label is a ji-whisky (made by a small distiller). This blended whisky was introduced in 2015 and is rarely seen outside Japan. Spicy with a hint of sweetness.
The Yamazakura Distillery closed in 1998, after being merged into Sasanokowa. “Blended Black Label” is a new product that has just been limited release on June 7, 2015.
Smooth, buttery mellow taste profile, wth an refreshing hint of sweetness.

Sasanokawa Shuzo Co. Ltd. was founded in 1 765 and acquired a license to produce whisky in 1946.
Since then we have been producing it as the oldest “whisky distiller” in Tohoku area. This product was finished mild and smooth in character with a strict selection of our unblended whisky.
